Placement Cell

The Placement Cell of our College comprises of our Principal as Chairperson, Placement Officer as its Secretary and Core committee members from each Department. The Cell is devoted to cater to the needs of organizations in conducting campus interviews for placements. Student Placement Co-coordinators are selected to assist the Placement Cell. The Placement Cell ensures and takes care to provide the best arrangements and hospitality for the visiting companies’ officials. The Placement Cell plays a very important and key role in counselling and guiding the students of the college for their successful career placement, which is a crucial interface for the students between the stages of completion of academic programme of studies and entry into the suitable employment. This Cell also coordinates various activities related to the career and campus selection inside the campus as well as off- campus. Many organizations visit our campus for recruitment annually.

Our Procedure

HR Persons from Companies are invited to the college
To the HR people, the details of the final year students opting for placement are sent as per their requirement
The company is assigned a convenient date and they conduct test and / or group discussion to short-list the interested students
The company then interviews the short listed students for final selection
The Students are also taken to attend off-campus selections conducted by Bharathiar University

The Placement Cell of Sree Narayana Guru College in association with NIIT Limited, organized a National-Level Career Guidance Webinar on 12th September, 2020. The Resource person, Mr. Francis D’Rozario, Senior Training Professional, NIIT Limited, emphasized on the various aspects of getting placed in the field of Finance and Accounts. Software tools that helps the students in Accounting and Finance was also elaborated. He also guided them to seek employment in right place at right direction. The mode of the webinar was Zoom in which 52 students actively participated. Question and Answer session was followed at the end of the programme. E-Certificates were distributed to active participants.
The Placement Cell of our College organised a National Level Webinar on 08.08.2020 at 11:30 AM. Resource Person: Mr.Suresh Natarajan, Head Academics & Training, Diksha Academy for Banking & Finance, Coimbatore. One Hundred and Thirty One Academicians, Placement Officers and students had participated in the event. The speaker elaborated upon the various opportunities that prevail in the Banking and Finance sector. He emphasized on the need to develop the skills required to obtain a career in Banking. Question and Answer session was followed after the Resource person’s address.
The Placement Cell organized Webinar on “How technology will affect the job availability in the market” on 09-05-2020, 12-1 PM. Resource Person: Mohan George, Founding Team Member, Gyanamite Edtech, Bangalore.

Organized Oncampus drive in association with Future Generali Life Insurance on 28-02-2019. Venue: Old Library Hall. Around 100 students participated and attended the interview.
Organized Oncampus drive in association with KGISL on 27-02-2019. Venue: Old Library Hall. Around 150 students participated and attended the interview.
Organized Final round interview of Visionary RCM for the UG Life Science Students on 26-02-2019. Around 30 students attended the interview.
Organized Student Development Programme on “Focusing the Student Development through Basic Interview Techniques” on 22-02-2019, 1 PM. Resource Person(s):Mr. P. Saravana Pandi, Associate Professor, MBA Department, SNMV and Mr. A. Vinu, PRO, SNMV. Around 70 students participated the program.
Organized Oncampus drive in association with Leon Infotech on 12-02-2019. Venue: Smart Class Room 2. Around 65 students participated and attended the interview.
Organized Oncampus drive in association with Visionary RCM on 06-02-2019. Venue: Old Library Hall. Around 90 students participated and attended the interview.

Organized Preplacement Assessment Test in association with Hire Mee on 10-01-2019 & 11-01-2019. Venue: Old Library Hall. Around 600 students participated and got benefited.

Organized Oncampus drive in association with Udhavi Consultancy on 31-10-2018. Company Name: Udhavi Consultancy. Venue: Board Room. Around 20 students participated and attended the interview.
Organized Orientation Programme on “Opportunities and Challenges in IT Sector” on 16-10-2018 and 17-10-2018. Venue: Old Library Hall. Resource Person: Mr. J S Sukumar, MD, Udhavi Pvt Ltd. Around 390 students participated and got benefited from this programme.
Organized Orientation Programme on “Placement Opportunities in Life Science Courses” on 05-10-2018, 2.30 PM. Venue: Old Library Hall. Resource Person: Dr. V. Vinothkumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Microbiology, SNGC. Around 150 Life Science students participated and got benefited from this programme.
Organized Orientation Programme on “Opportunities and Recent Trends in IT” on 05-10-2018, 10.30 AM. Venue: Smart Class Room 2. Resource Person: Mrs. Sathya Priya A, Sr. Executive Hr., Training & Placement, Angler Technologies, Coimbatore. Around 80 Final UG & PG Computer Science Students participated and got benefited from this programme.
Organized Orientation Programme on “Career Development Programme” on 03-10-2018, 1.30 PM. Venue: Old Library Hall. Resource Person: Mr. P. Karthikeyan, Campus Placement & Software Training, Pyramid Academy, Coimbatore. Around 160 Final year UG students of various disciplines participated and got benefited from this programme.
Organized Orientation Programme on “Financial Planning and Recent Trends in Marketing” on 12-09-2018, 2 PM. Resource Person: Mr. Mathew Thomas, Vice President – Corporate Business, Progno Financial Planning Systems (P) Ltd, Cochin. Venue: Old Library Hall. Around 160 Commerce students participated and got benefited from this programme.
Organized Orientation Programme on 14-06-2018, 10 AM. Venue: Vivekananda Hall. Chief Guest: Mr. P. Unni Krishnan, Centre Manager, TCS iON Training Partner delivered the lecture on “Importance and Benefits of TCS Ignite Test 2018”. Around 170 students of II Year and III Year UG Computer Science Students participated and got benefited from this programme.
